Dr. Zahra Alami's leadership in clinical care excellence is a testament to her skills and experience. Her extensive background working with underprivileged and minority populations and her familiarity with diagnosing and treating critically sick patients are all part of her commitment to excellence. Her residency training in open ICU and CCU and her experience as a first responder to STEMI and stroke patients during her residency at SJMO Michigan's first certified primary stroke center with thrombectomy capability are all part of her leadership. She is also experienced in treating many cardiac diseases, having been trained in the cardiac care unit under the direct supervision of cardiologists and cardiology fellows during her training. Angela Ciotoli is a critical care nurse practitioner at Erie Shores Healthcare. With over 10 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, she has always strived to practice to her full scope by fulfilling her role as a leader, educator, and researcher. Angela's interest in research has always focused on improving access to care for patients in various settings, including primary care, critical care, and palliative and end-of-life care. She has been developing a unique version of a critical care outreach program in the past year. This program aims to strengthen bedside nursing skills further to recognize early signs of a deteriorating patient, streamline access to critical resources, and ultimately improve patient experiences and outcomes. Angela's dedication and efforts in improving patient care and outcomes demonstrate her passion for making a positive impact in nursing.

Dr. Braedon Hendy is a practicing family physician in the region surrounding Windsor, Ontario. He completed his Bachelor's and Masters of Science at Western University, focusing on novel methods to help lower the financial burden of treatments for various diseases. As a family medicine graduate of the Windsor-based residency program, Dr. Hendy continues to work within the community as an emergency room physician and coroner. He is currently the Primary Care Lead for the Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program and is the President of Professional Staff at Erie Shores Health Care. As an OntarioMD Peer Leader, Dr. Hendy is passionate about improving technology and assisting practitioners with their practice. Since 2001, he has served as a medical officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Holly is a Registered Nurse who has worked in various roles within the Emergency Department (ED) at ESHC over the past 19 years. Holly progressed from a front-line Registered Nurse to the Clinical Resource Nurse role and is currently the ED & Patient Registration Operations Manager. She also has experience as a remote nurse, working in northern Manitoba. She is dedicated to the care of our community and supports her team through leadership to enable them to provide quality care. Thomas Koltko, a PharmD, is leading and directing the Erie Shore HealthCare pharmacy team. He develops and implements policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations. He oversees budgeting, financial management, and procurement of pharmaceuticals and supplies, collaborating with other hospital departments to ensure seamless integration of pharmacy services into patient care processes. He is also responsible for regulatory compliance with federal and provincial regulations and maintaining accreditation standards. His groundbreaking work on the Optimization of Antibodies to Study Translational Regulatory Proteins in Toxoplasma gondii showcases his expertise in research. Catherine Taylor works full-time as a Clinical Practice Manager at Erie Shores HealthCare. She is a Registered Nurse (Western University) with a Masters of Science in Aging and Health (Queen's University), where she studied statin therapy in older adults receiving palliative care. Catherine is passionate about research and improving healthcare in Canada. Her current areas of interest include research on nursing education, satisfaction, retention, and patient safety in the hospital setting. Her current research includes a qualitative study of nurse satisfaction after participating in a dedicated education day run by the Clinical Practice Team and Chief of Nursing at Erie Shores HealthCare. She hopes to put Canada and Leamington, Ontario, on the map as an area of excellence and accessibility to quality healthcare.

Sara is an emergency-trained RN who spent 11 years in the ED as a frontline nurse before transitioning to a role in critical care clinical practice with ESHC. Sara is passionate about emergency and critical care nursing and is interested in translating nursing research knowledge, sepsis prevention, and improving the quality of care for all patients in a critical care setting through education and training. She is interested in research using simulations as a teaching method both in hospitals and outside academic institutions.

Dr. Idris Yekinni is an Emergency Physician at Erie Shores HealthCare. He completed his MD at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and his residency at the University of Ibadan. He is a certified emergency physician with extensive experience in trauma care and emergency response. His research interests include improving emergency care systems and developing low-cost interventions for resource-limited settings. Dr. Yekinni is involved in various projects to enhance patient outcomes in emergency care through innovative approaches and evidence-based practices.
