Housekeeping Aide

Department:

Applications are now being accepted for Housekeeping Aide. The successful applicant will be required to work 5am-1pm, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm, 3pm-11pm, 4pm-12am, 7pm-3am, and 11pm-7am Monday-Sunday, including holidays. The commitment to this position for full-time is 75 hours per bi-weekly pay period and for part-time is 37.5 hours per bi-weekly pay period. 

 

Job Functions  

  • Adhere to policies and procedures established for the assigned department while supporting the Mission, Vision and Values of Erie Shores Healthcare
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, washrooms, offices and other assigned areas
  • Follow Universal Precautions
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees
  • Co-ordinate and co-operate with client departments in the Hospital to fulfill their duties
  • Perform any other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Related experience preferred
  • Able to prioritize and perform reliably
  • Ability to work shift work
